Krimpers
Crimping is a well proven method of anchoring the mulch into the soil to avoid loss of mulch cover. When the straw or hay (mulch) is not anchored to the soil, it is subject to blowing or washing away by high winds or rainfall. The FINN Krimper has large notched coulters that are evenly spaced apart with scrapers to clean each blade. When the Krimper is rolled across the mulch, it punches a portion of the mulch into a slot which closes when the blade is removed. The closing of the slot holds the mulch in place against high winds and rains.
