Herd Model I92
Front-mounted Model I-92 Electric, 92 Qt Capacity (Rheostat is optional)
Also available, a smaller 44 qt. capacity Model I-44 that has all the features of Model I-92, except size of hopper. Designed especially for spreading seeds, insecticides and herbicides. (PTO-powered units recommended for spreading fertilizers. May be front, rear, or side-mounted (orchard users). Ideal for mounting on rear of pickups, Jeeps, boats, and hi-boys. Motor is 12 volt D.C. Motor has low amperage pull, high torque and will maintain constant speed for uniform spread. You may center the spread and meter the amounts with Herd's centering and opening control design. 4-bladed fan with lap-over blades 'spreads' and does not 'blow'.
Optional Equipment:
18" Hopper Extension RM-982 with 2 bu. capacity for I-92, and Hopper Extension RM-940 with 1.3 bu. capacity for I-44. I-808 or I-808A Width Control Kit for spreading herbicides and insecticides from 5 ft. to 24 ft. (Kit includes Rheostat to 'dial' your spread width, collar, blocking plate, and perforated guard. I-808 has guard with 3/16" holes ad i-808A has guard with 5/16" holes for coarse granules.) BG-813 Rheostat only.

You can control seed amounts down to 3 lbs. per acre and fertilizer from 50 lbs. to 1,000 lbs. per acre. Has easy-adjusted pattern control. Enables you to center the spread of light or heavy material. 16 gauge steel hopper with welded seams practically cleans itself. Round hopper base prevents lodging of material and assures even feeding. Quick-tach, shielded, telescoping tumbling shaft and gearbox for long, trouble-free use. Gearbox has an extra bonus...shipped for 540 rpm. For 1,000 rpm, just reverse gears in gearbox. Easy to operate. Convenient location of control handle.
