Soil Amendments
INTRODUCING......
MENEFEE GRANULAR HUMATEä is the worlds Best humate for seeding, sodding, and all plants. Granular Humate features Humic Acid (up to 60%), Organic matter (up to 70%), and Carbon (up to 60%). It is used to promote general soil health; to hold through anion and action exchanges all necessary nutrients for plant growth. Granular Humates promote good soil tilt, increases soil organic matter (humus), microbial activity, and microbial count.
What is Granular Humate? Former plants and animals that were covered by sand. A little bit of oxygen was present, so microbes were able to partially decompose these plants and animals. The result is a dark granular material that is very highly concentrated humic acid and organic matter.
How does this material work and how will it benefit you? Granular Humate has a favorable C:N (carbon to nitrogen) ration, so it allows for the quick transformation of unavailable forms of nutrients into plant-available forms. Organic matter breakdown can occur with very minimal tie-up of nitrogen for assimilation. Using this material on turf will allow you to use less fertilizer and pesticides by making the root cell more permeable. For seeding, the plant will germinate much more quickly and the stand and establishment will be much better. Application rate of Granular Humate for hydraulic seeding from 500 to 1,000 pounds per acre, depending on the steepness of the slope.
- Humate is in a favorable state of decomposition, indicated by the high humic acid content and excellent carbon to nitrogen ratio.
- Humate has a favorable C:N (carbon to nitrogen) ratio allowing sustained decomposition of carbonaceous material and quick mineralization of nutrients into exchangeable or plant-available forms.
- Organic matter breakdown can occur with very minimal tie-up of nitrogen for assimilation.
- Humate provides immediate microbial stimulation and sustains activity for prolonged periods, providing energy for the fixation of nitrogen into plant-available forms.
- Humate increases phosphorus availability by complexing ions into stable compounds allowing the phosphorus ion to remain exchangeable for a plants uptake.
- Humate retains potassium in an exchangeable, readily-available form for plant uptake.
- Humates favorable Ca:Mg ration provides an increase in exchangeable magnesium.
- Humate supports the activation of enzymes, enzymatic systems, and the synthesis of sulfur containing amino acids.

INTRODUCING.....GrowPlexä is a natural humic acid based water soluble powder with vital micronutrients for use as a foliar nutrient spray or soil drench for plant growth and development as a supplement to a balanced fertility program. GrowPlexä is a water soluble source of humic acid. It also supplies high levels of soluble potassium and phosphorus in readily available forms. Combined with humic acid, the potassium, phosphorus, calcium, iron, and sulfur can be rapidly absorbed and incorporated into the plant whether via soil or foliar application methods. GrowPlexä is compatible with almost all starter and foliar fertilizers for more efficient uptake and more sustained nutrition. Simply, it makes the fertilizer with which it is applied work better. Suggested application rate with a hydraulic seeding method is only one-half, up to one pound per acre.
The following list from published literature on soluble humic acids is presented as a guide to testing and illustrates application possibilities
- Stimulates soil bacteria, buffers excessive levels of micronutrients
- Increased root and shoot growth in corn and other crops
- Added to pop-up or in-furrow fertilizer, improves germination and early growth
- Adding 1/4 to 1/2 pound of active material per acres to transplant water increases root growth and reduces transplant shock
- Stimulated alfalfa regrowth after cutting
- Foliar sprays help overcome stress of excessive rain, freezing, flowering, fruiting and harvest
- Yield stimulation when used in hydroponics as a nutrient solution component
- Growth stimulant for tomatoes
- General growth stimulation
- Improved soil wetting
- Improved availability of iron and other trace metals
- Improved iron uptake
- Increased translocation of iron in plants
- Increased zinc uptake in citrus
- Increased movement of calcium and magnesium in soil
- Increased phosphorous availability
